Dr. Attaie, better known by his little patients as Dr. Alibaba. He is big on the prevention and the importance of “age one visit” and “treating a whole child versus just little teeth”. He is one of the co-founders of hellosmile which he initially created with his brother and sister to help all children have access to quality dental services. He is available to see patients by referral from other dental and medical providers. Dr. Attaie is a board certified specialist with special focus on treating the oral health needs of medically compromised children and those with severe phobias and anxiety. He also works with interdisciplinary team of clinicians who treat children with cleft lip and palate and obstructive sleep apnea. He serves as the assistant professor of pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine and attending dental surgeon at Mount Sinai Saint Luke’s and Kravis Children’s’ Hospitals. Dr. Attaie lectures locally and internationally and is active in teaching medical and dental professionals on the latest techniques and approaches related to achieving children’s optimal oral health. He is the former director of the division of pediatric dental medicine at Mount Sinai and is currently a council member for Healthfirst Quality Improvement Council where he helps manage the health of the entire population of over a million members at Healthfirst.
